What is Botox®?

Botox is the best-known name in a category called neuromodulators, but it's not the only option, and it's often paired with dermal filler. We also offer Dysport, Xeomin, and Daxxify. All are botulinum toxin type A neuromodulators, but their formulations, dosing and clinical characteristics differ. All of them relax the small muscles that cause expression lines, so the lines soften without freezing your face. It has been extensively researched and is FDA approved.

Botox can soften expression lines that are already visible and help keep dynamic lines from becoming more deeply etched over time. We also consider facial balance, looking at how areas like the forehead, brows, and eyes work together rather than focusing on a single line. This approach helps create a more balanced, natural-looking result.

ARE BOTOX INJECTIONS RIGHT FOR YOU?

If you've started to notice expression lines that linger after you stop smiling, frowning, or raising your eyebrows, Botox® may be a great option. By temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for those repetitive movements, Botox® softens existing lines and helps prevent them from becoming more noticeable over time, all while preserving natural facial expression.

Areas we typically treat

A lot of people come in thinking about just one area, then realize Botox can address several at once to help balance the face. Here's where it tends to make the most noticeable difference.

FOREHEAD LINES

Horizontal lines across the forehead that stay visible even when your face is relaxed.

FROWN LINES (11s)

The vertical creases between the brows that can make you look upset even when you're not.

BUNNY LINES

Small creases on the sides of the nose that show up when you scrunch it, easy to miss until someone points them out.

LIP FLIP

A small amount placed at the edge of the upper lip creates a subtle flip, without adding volume the way filler does.

MASSETER (JAW)

Relaxes the jaw muscle for people who clench or grind, which can also soften a square jawline over time.

GUMMY SMILE

Softens the upper lip muscle so a smile shows less gum, without looking unnatural.

Why patients choose Collins Vitality for Botox®

Botox® is both a science and an art. Understanding facial anatomy is only part of the equation—knowing how to preserve natural movement while softening unwanted lines is what creates beautiful, balanced results. Every treatment is personalized to your unique anatomy, facial expressions, and aesthetic goals.

Patients come to Collins Vitality from Glendale and across the greater Phoenix area because they appreciate honest recommendations, personalized care, and providers who prioritize natural-looking results over trends. Our goal is never to change how you look—it's to help you look like the best version of yourself.

What does your Botox® appointment look like?

Every Botox® appointment begins with a consultation. We'll discuss your concerns and answer any questions you have. We'll observe how your facial muscles naturally move and evaluate your facial anatomy before we create a personalized treatment plan. Together, we'll determine which areas will help you achieve the refreshed, natural-looking results you're hoping for.

The injections themselves typically take just 10 to 15 minutes. You'll usually begin noticing results within 3 to 5 days, with full results developing around two weeks after treatment. Most patients enjoy their results for approximately 3 to 4 months before considering maintenance treatment.

Common questions about Botox

  • Does Botox hurt?

Most people describe it as a quick pinch. We use a very fine needle, and the whole treatment is over before any real discomfort sets in.

  • How long does a Botox treatment last?

Results typically last 3 to 4 months. Some people find it lasts a bit longer with consistent treatment over time.

  • What's the difference between Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Daxxify?

They all work the same basic way, relaxing muscles to soften lines, but differ slightly in onset speed and how they spread.

We'll recommend the one that fits your goals during your consultation.

  • Will people be able to tell I had Botox?

Done well, no. The goal is softened lines and a more rested look, not a frozen one. You should still look like you.
