PRP & PRF for face, eyes and hair: stimulating growth from within
A NATURAL, NON-SYNTHETIC TREATMENT

What is PRP/PRF?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) harness your body's own natural growth factors to support healing, stimulate collagen production, and encourage healthier skin and hair. Because the treatment comes from your own blood, it works with your body's natural regenerative process.
Both treatments begin with a simple blood draw. After your blood is spun in a centrifuge, the concentrated platelets and growth factors are separated and prepared for treatment.
While PRP and PRF share the same foundation, they release growth factors differently:
- PRP provides a concentrated release of growth factors shortly after treatment, making it a great option for skin rejuvenation and hair restoration.
- PRF contains a natural fibrin matrix that allows growth factors to be released more gradually over time, supporting longer-lasting regenerative activity.
Depending on your goals, PRP or PRF may be injected into targeted areas or combined with microneedling to enhance collagen production, improve skin quality, and promote healthier hair growth.

PRP/PRF benefits:
PRP and PRF help your body restore itself. By concentrating your body's own natural growth factors, these regenerative treatments support healthier skin, stronger hair, and renewed collagen, creating improvements that look natural because they come from within.
FOR YOUR FACE
Improves skin texture and tone
Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
Minimizes acne scars and under-eye hollowness
Enhances collagen production, and pairs especially well with microneedling
FOR YOUR HAIR
Stimulates hair follicle growth
Improves hair thickness and density
Slows thinning or shedding, especially in early hair loss
Areas we typically treat
A lot of people come in thinking about just one area, then realize PRP & PRF can address several at once. Here's where it tends to make the most noticeable difference.
UNDER-EYE Hollowness/DARK CIRCLES
A common, hard-to-treat area that responds well to PRF specifically, since its slower-release growth factors suit the thin, delicate skin under the eyes.

THINNING HAIR
Stimulates dormant follicles and supports thicker, denser regrowth over a series of sessions.

ACNE SCARRING
Softens the appearance of scarring and improves overall texture, especially when paired with microneedling.

FINE LINES & VOLUME LOSS
Supports the skin's own collagen production for a firmer, more youthful look that builds gradually.

Why patients choose Collins Vitality for PRP/PRF therapy
Some patients are hesitant about a treatment that uses their own blood, and that's completely understandable. The good news is that PRP and PRF simply harness your body's own natural healing and regenerative abilities. By concentrating your body's natural growth factors, these treatments stimulate collagen production, support tissue repair, and promote healthier skin and hair from within.
There's no one-size-fits-all approach. We'll help you understand the differences between PRP and PRF, recommend the treatment that's right for your goals, and develop a personalized plan based on the area being treated, your timeline, and the results you're hoping to achieve. Our goal is to help you achieve natural-looking improvements that continue to develop over time.
We believe some of the most beautiful results come from helping your body do what it was designed to do: heal, restore, and regenerate.
What does your PRP/PRF appointment look like?
A simple blood draw is how we begin, similar to a routine lab visit. While it's spun in the centrifuge, we'll talk through whether PRP or PRF fits your goals and timeline better.
From there, it's injected or microneedled into the treatment area, whether that's under the eyes, across the face, or into the scalp. Most patients see some swelling or redness at injection sites that settles within a day or two.

This patient wanted to brighten tired-looking eyes while maintaining a completely natural appearance. PRF Gel was used to soften the tear troughs, reduce under-eye shadowing, and create a smoother transition between the lower eyelid and cheek. Because PRF is created from the patient's own blood, it not only provides subtle support but also encourages collagen production and improves skin quality over time.
The result is a brighter, more rested appearance without looking overfilled.

Common questions about PRP & PRF
Is PRF the same thing as plasma fibroblast?
No, even though the names sound similar. PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) comes from your own blood. Plasma fibroblast, sometimes called a plasma pen treatment, uses an electrical arc device to tighten skin and is a completely different treatment that we don't currently offer.
What's the actual difference between PRP and PRF?
PRP releases its growth factors quickly, giving a faster initial effect. PRF releases them more slowly over time, which tends to mean longer-lasting results and deeper regenerative benefits, especially in delicate areas like under the eyes.
Does the blood draw or injection hurt?
The blood draw feels like a standard lab visit. We use numbing cream before injecting or microneedling, so most patients describe mild discomfort rather than real pain.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your goals. Hair restoration typically benefits from a series of sessions spaced a few weeks apart, while facial rejuvenation can show results after just one or two treatments, with maintenance sessions to sustain them.
Can PRP/PRF be combined with microneedling?
Yes, this is actually one of the most common ways it's applied. We have a dedicated page on microneedling if you'd like more details on that treatment specifically.
