What is a PDO thread lift?

A PDO thread lift is a minimally invasive treatment that uses fine, dissolvable threads to provide subtle support to the skin while stimulating your body's natural collagen production. The result is a refreshed, more lifted appearance that continues to improve as new collagen develops over time.

Depending on your goals, different types of threads can be used. Barbed threads provide immediate structural support for areas experiencing mild to moderate skin laxity, while smooth threads primarily stimulate collagen to improve skin firmness, texture, and overall quality.

At Collins Vitality, we use NovaThreads®, an FDA-cleared PDO thread system trusted for its safety, quality, and natural-looking results.

Could PDO Threads Help?

As collagen naturally declines with age, the skin can begin to lose some of its firmness and definition. If you've noticed subtle changes in your jawline, cheeks, neck, or other areas of the body, PDO threads may help restore support while encouraging your body's natural regenerative process.

This treatment might help if you have:

Why patients choose Collins Vitality for a PDO thread lift

Beautiful PDO thread results require thoughtful planning. Your treatment begins with a detailed assessment of your facial anatomy and the way your face naturally moves. We carefully map each treatment to provide support, restore balance, and create natural-looking rejuvenation that still looks like you.

Patients visit Collins Vitality from Glendale and throughout the greater Phoenix area because they value honest recommendations and providers who take the time to create a treatment plan tailored to their unique features and long-term goals.

What does your PDO Threads appointment look like?

Your appointment begins with a consultation. We'll evaluate your concerns, discuss your goals, and determine whether PDO threads are the right treatment for you. Together, we'll create a personalized treatment plan based on the areas you'd like to improve and the natural-looking results you're hoping to achieve.

Most appointments take approximately 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the treatment area and the number of threads used. PDO threads provide immediate structural support while continuing to stimulate collagen production over the following months. As your collagen develops, you'll continue to see gradual improvements in skin firmness and support.

Mini threads can be used just about anywhere and are great for building collagen. Common areas are fine lines and wrinkles and areas where volume loss is created like frown/forrow lines or under the eyes.

Common questions about PDO thread lifts

  • How long do PDO thread lift results last?

The threads themselves dissolve within about 4 to 6 months, but the collagen they stimulate keeps supporting the lift well after that. Most patients see results last 9 to 15 months, sometimes longer depending on how many threads were used.

  • Do PDO thread lifts hurt?

The area is fully numbed before any threads are placed, so most patients feel pressure or a pulling sensation rather than pain. Some tenderness for the first week or two is normal.

  • How is a PDO thread lift different from a surgical facelift?

A thread lift has no incisions, no general anesthesia, and far less downtime, most people are back to normal activities within a day or two. The lift is also more subtle than surgery and works gradually as collagen builds, rather than producing an immediately dramatic change.

  • Can PDO threads be combined with Botox or filler?

Yes, this is one of the most common combinations we see. Threads address sagging and laxity, while Botox and filler address movement-based lines and volume loss. Together they cover more ground than any one treatment alone.

  • Is there downtime when you have a PDO thread lift done?

Minimal. Most patients return to normal activities within a day or two, though we'll usually recommend avoiding strenuous exercise and excessive facial movement for about a week for the best results.

pairs well with:

DERMAL FILLERS

for areas that need volume

BOTOX

for lines caused by movement
