What is PRX treatment?
PRX is a professional biorevitalization treatment that stimulates collagen and elastin production in the deep layers of the skin without causing visible surface exfoliation. At Collins Vitality, we offer two formulations: PRX Derm Perfexion and PRX PLUS, the newer, next-generation version. Both deliver the core benefit, which is dermal-level collagen stimulus with no peeling and no downtime, but with different levels of intensity for different skin concerns.
What makes it different from a standard TCA peel is the hydrogen peroxide: it neutralizes TCA's aggressive surface action, allowing it to penetrate to the dermis without causing the frosting or peeling that high-percentage TCA would otherwise produce. The result is an immediate brightening glow and a collagen-building process that continues in the weeks after treatment.

What does a PRX Serum treatment look like?
Your first visit at Collins Vitality Spa starts with a consultation. The PRX serum is massaged into the skin in a series of passes over 30 to 45 minutes. You may feel mild tingling or warmth during application which is normal and expected. Unlike a chemical peel, there's no frosting of the skin and no bandaging. You leave with an immediate visible glow. Most patients experience no visible peeling, though some mild flaking may occur in areas of thicker skin.
There are no sun restrictions after treatment, which makes PRX one of the few professional skin treatments that can be done year-round without timing concerns. A series of four to six treatments spaced one to two weeks apart produces the most significant and lasting results. Many patients also use PRX as a monthly maintenance treatment after completing a series.

What is PRX treatment and how is it different from a chemical peel?
A traditional chemical peel exfoliates the outer layers of the skin, which produces the visible peeling and downtime most people associate with peels. PRX treatment bypasses the outer skin layer entirely and stimulates the deeper dermal layer directly. The result is collagen and elastin production without any surface disruption — which is why there's no visible peeling and no downtime. Same depth of effect, completely different experience.
Is there really no peeling or downtime?
For most patients, zero. Some mild flaking is possible in areas where the skin is thicker, but it's not the week-long visible peeling that comes with a VI Peel or TCA peel. There are also no sun restrictions after PRX, which is unusual for a professional skin treatment at this level.
How many PRX treatments will I need?
A series of four to six treatments spaced one to two weeks apart produces the most significant results. After completing a series, many patients come back monthly for maintenance. The first session produces visible immediate results even on its own.
How long until I notice a difference?
Sleep and energy changes often show up within the first two to four weeks. Improvements in body composition, recovery, and more systemic changes typically take two to four months of consistent use. Peptides are cumulative, not immediate, and that's by design.
How does PRX compare to DiamondGlow or microneedling?
They address the skin differently and work well together. DiamondGlow exfoliates the surface and infuses serum. Microneedling creates controlled micro-injury to drive collagen remodeling. PRX stimulates the dermis chemically without surface disruption. Many patients layer all three at different points in their routine, with each serving a different role.
Can PRX be used on the body, not just the face?
